The library of CSAEO holds approximately 16,000 volumes: many of them have been directly bought by Peternolli, many have been donated by various institutions and individuals.

It is possible for everybody to visit our library and study our books.

CSAEO lends books only to the last-year students of East Asian Arts at the University of Bologna.
Our members are allowed to borrow books we own in double copy (about 500 titles); double copies are marked on our catalogue with an asterisk *.

CSAEO also owns an interesting collection of Chinese, Korean and Japanese illustrated children books.
Manekineko association is cataloguing children books in Japanese.
